A protected landscape where there's space to breathe

The North York Moors National Park is a protected landscape, featuring one of the UK’s largest expanses of upland heather moorland, a dramatic coastline, deep dales with meandering rivers, and ancient woodlands.

It's a good place to step away from a busy world, to feel better, nurturing and nourishing body and soul. Enjoy the simple pleasure of strolling on a sandy beach, or scale the heights of Chimney Bank on a bike. Discover beautiful villages clothed in pantile roofs, wander in a wooded landscape or be inspired by the incredible night sky.

There are over 1,400 miles (2,200 km) of public rights of way, including extensive public footpaths, bridleways, and long-distance trails to explore. Don't forget this is the Capital of Cake, so plenty of treats await!
